What is the task?

The third week is almost up. This week I feel has been more productive. I have been using my time sheet more this week to check that I have been keeping on track. I think I am more or less up to date and using my time well. The deadline is getting closer by the minute, where does the time go.

High Points
This week I have been managing the time I use for research differently. As mentioned in my previous post I found it difficult to do large amounts of research all at once. Since then I have been completing research and breaking off to work into my sketchbook. I am happy with this approach as it also gives you a break as sometimes all that information fired at me all at once can confuse me. The creative designs in my sketchbook help me take my mind of this, giving me time to work out layouts and colour schemes.

Low Points
I wasn’t so impressed in the seminar group when I realised I had done my delivery requirements in a different way to what I was supposed to. Just when I thought it looked like it was getting there something else pops into my head that I have forgotten. I have also been checking through my work several days after I have written something and finding mistakes that should be un-miss able. I now realise why there I should be scheduling to finish a week before the deadline. I can use the extra week to check and double check for silly little mistakes, hopefully to make it “perfect” - what ever that is?

Self Study
In this week’s self study I am going to concentrate more on the creative side of the course allowing me to rest from all of the written work for a few days. I will also complete all the little areas that need working back into my written work.

Sketchbooks

I have also been taking scans of my sketchbook just in case anything dire happens to my original – not that I plan anything to happen to it. It also allows you to have a look at them to see how I’m getting on; feedback is appreciated.

I wouldn't worry too much about getting the delivery requirements a bit wrong the first time Gary.

Trust me, it'll get easier.
