Well, I wish I could say that this week has been relaxing, but it hasn't. I have been working most of the week. I had hoped to post this sooner but I have been suffering from the worst cold of my life so far.
I am feeling slightly more relaxed than I have been leading up to this week with all the assignment deadlines. But now hopefully I have had time to get it cleared out of my head and am ready for my next assignment(s). I have already printed "Back to Basics" and have started making some mental notes. One thing I am missing is my sketchbook! I think it keeps me in my comfort zone and somewhere just to jot down my thoughts.
Today I have just received my copy of CS3 Master Collection from AdobeOS X. I will be in manchester on Friday at 6pm for the uk launch. Which means by late friday night I should have all the most up to date software to get me going and hopefully be more creative through my next units.

Hi Garry
Sound like another case of the dreaded 'Man Flu' to me; I know how you feel as I am just about over my near lethal dose of it (haha).
I am pleased that you are being proactive both with the forward thinking of going through the next assignment and the purchase of suitable software.
I completely understand about the sketchbook, I hated the thing to start with but now I feel like I am missing out!
Let me know how it goes on Friday; have fun.
I definately know what you mean about the sketchbook, it doesn't feel right not having it around. As soon as we gave it in I wanted to do notes in it, but we had to use paper; it just wasn't the same.
It's good to see your eager for the next assignment, that's the best way to be, I think everyone will show so much improvement come this next task.
Hey Everyone
I am trying to drum up some interest in my most recent journal entry.
The focus of this is the third paragraph and Steve's comments regarding it.
I would really appreciate it if people could leave a comment showing how they feel about the situation and any possible solutions.

Thank you for your time and support
Shaun Bellis.
I have the same feelings about the sketchbook i feel lost without it, i have bits of loose paper floating around because i just dont have it to stick them in.
I think this is a good thing though, it shows that we are learning that the sketchbook is almighty and powerfull and will always be needed.
Nice, there will definatly be questions regarding fridays trip to manchester.
I've tried CS3 and to be honest; I wasn't that impressed. I'm going to stick with my CS2 until something happens which prevents me from using it.
As for the new OS X, I'm still contemplating whether to upgrade. I think I'm going to wait a little while longer, and then take the plunge. I'm especially keen about trying out an updated Parallels software.
I know what I mean about not having a sketchbook, I am use to having my sketchbook so I can make notes and stick my inspiration in, because I haven’t got a sketchbook to stick my inspiration in I am scared I might lose it.
The other week I went to buy a new sketchbook and I couldn’t find one anywhere in Wakefield, everywhere had sold out so I ended up getting one from Batley, I didn’t think shops would sell out of sketchbooks. If I knew more shops that sold them I might have a better chance of finding a new one next time. So where did you get your sketchbook from?
I don't mind either cs3 or cs2 but if I'm going to buy software im going to get the latest. Can you even buy cs2 any more?
P.S. os x 10.5 is amazing!!
I don't know what is meant by Jonny's comment?
Hi Gary,
It is good that you're buying the right course equipment.
All I can say is there may be compatibility issues between CS3 (Yours) and CS2 (College). I wouldn't mind CS3 actually, personally I only bought Studio 8 last year for college and thats fine.
CS3 does look pretty good how much did you get it for and is it a student copy?
CS3 is great so far! it is on student discount from the adobe website. It can be installed on 2 machines and is priced at £2313.58 and £400 for students. So as you can see it is a HUGE discount, an offer not to miss! And it has most of adobe's applications.
Compatibility with college hasn't been a problem as of yet, I have just been having to create the Interchange file that cs2 uses to open the cs3 file at college.
